Chill’s Cancer Crusade was created out of love for those close to our hearts who have battled Cancer of any kind. The crusade is about helping to bring awareness to early detection and to touch people’s lives. This crusade may not be the cure for cancer, but we can have a positive impact on people battling cancer by lifting their spirits, and helping make them look and feel great. Chill has raised and donated over $2000 in spa services in the past five months and will continue to grow their crusade to make a difference.
Celebrity Stylist and Matrix Design Director, Ammon Carver kicked off Chill Spa’s first Free Hair Design & Style:
For anyone who donates their hair to Beautiful Lengths, an organization that makes free wigs for cancer patients. Terisa Sliney, a massage therapist at Chill was the first to donate 12 inches. Ammon who cut Terisa’s hair travels the world spreading the Matrix love, educating and inspiring stylists about the amazing Matrix family. He shared his passion, designing and styling tips with the chill team. He created the perfect soft but edgy look for Terisa that she just loves. This natural design genius is super down to earth and extremely inspirational. He was recently featured on Good Morning America among other appearances teaching America how to do the sought after “Hunger Games” braid.
Owner Crissy McQuade’s ten year old daughter Dante was her very first donor. She had two ten inch braids cut to donate and she was so excited to join her mom in support of chill spa’s cancer crusade.
Friday, April 27th Chill was part of the 1st Annual National Donate Your Hair Day. Chill will continue to reward clients for being kind. If you would like to donate your hair to make a difference, chill will reward you with a FREE hair cut and style as a thank you for donating.
